I live in Petaluma and I called for a emergency pet veterinarian in Sonoma County and it was all a 5 to 6 hour wait I just couldn’t believe my ears when we walked into pet emergency specialty center. I was so relieved to be in their good hands, the vet tech walks us back to the room almost immediately, and the veterinarian came in about 10 minutes later. I thought my dog had an Abscess, but it turned out to be Cyst. They only charged me $400 and sent me home with antibiotics. There were several other people there with their animals and they checked out before us and I couldn’t believe how reasonable they were. It looks like a state of the art hospital in there I will never go anywhere else if I have to go to emergency veterinarian again.

Friendly, efficient, clean and great vets!! Both the vet assistant and the vet were just so warm, caring and were on it. My dog has a long medical history and they knew it all, and they listened well around my needs as a dog mom! Level of care is superb!

Dr. Tun was detailed and comprehensive in his explanation of our dog's situation, and had an excellent, gentle "bedside manner". Plus, he called our dog "cute"…that goes a long way…

Saying goodbye to our beloved 16-year-old cat was a hard moment to face. You never truly know when the “right time” is to let go—but when that time came, the team at the Pet Emergency Hospital was incredible. From the moment we arrived, every staff member—from the receptionist to the vet tech to the doctor—showed genuine care and compassion. They made an emotionally painful experience feel as gentle and compassionate as possible. We were given all the time we needed with our cat, never rushed. The process was explained with clarity and sensitivity, allowing us to focus on being present during those final moments. Their kindness will never be forgotten. Thank you so much!

We received care right away - kind of depends on timing and how busy they are. Our puppy ate something poisonous and had to stay overnight. He got the treatment he needed and was able to come home the next morning. For overnight care, he was never left alone and was constantly monitored. I was able to call for regular updates, even in the middle of the night, and no one was frustrated with me for calling more than I needed to, which was really nice (hard to leave your fur baby in the emergency room overnight) so it was very comforting that the staff was so patient and understanding. Puppy is now home and healthy thanks to the vets here! Can't thank you all enough!!

The front desk service was really great in helping make appointment originally and then calling to get me in off wait list - really helpful and knowledgable people. They ensured that they had all records from other providers when we got in. The techs and cardiologist I interacted with were kind and I felt confident in the care and information they provided for my dog. The new location has lovely views and more space in the waiting room. Parking seems a bit confusing at first visit - just look for the signs and head to the left. Also you have to take elevator from the parking lot up. We were seen promptly at appointment time.
