Amy Calderon grew up in New Jersey & the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania, knowing that she would be working in the veterinary field one day. She began by walking the dogs in her neighborhood in New Jersey, when she was just a child. After relocating to the Bay Area in 2012, she attended a Veterinary Technology Program and began working in general practice hospitals before joining the emergency department at PESCM in 2013. Amy became a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2015 and continued working in the ER before transitioning into a specialty position, working primarily with our Cardiology and Neurology services. In October of 2024, Amy was appointed to the role of Hospital Referral Coordinator, working closely with our referral veterinary community and our hospital leadership team.
In her free time, Amy enjoys cooking/baking (especially perfecting GF recipes), going for walks and spending time with her family. She currently lives in Cotati with her husband, two sons and 3-legged dog, Penelope.
