Dr. Sabrina Barry is a Marin County native who grew up in the arms of Mount Tamalpais. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Physiology & Neuroscience at U.C. San Diego in 2000, and completed her veterinary degree at U.C. Davis in 2006. Dr. Barry then completed a one-year medicine & surgery internship at Washington State University, a one-year surgery internship at the Animal Specialty Group in Glendale, California, and a four-year surgery residency at Washington State University. She became board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2013. Dr. Barry spent eight years as a Clinical Associate Professor of Small Animal Surgery at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, before coming home to California to join the PESCM team.

Dr. Barry is skilled at several branches of surgery including general surgery, oncologic surgery, minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery, and orthopedic surgery. Dr. Barry values the opinions of her patients’ human family members, and strives to keep family members well-informed and included in the decision-making process for their pet.
